"PERFECTION! My wife and i are both pilots who used to fly for scenic airlines which provides tours over the grand canyon and many other wonderful landmarks in the southwestern US. Al, our pilot, provided us with a wonderful narrative of our tour. "Canned" tours can be a reality, mostly because the pilot is not only giving a tour you can hear but also making mandatory radio calls at the same time. Al took that element out . Collision aviodance is crucial when flying next to these types of landmarks. It was so cool to see and listen to Al as he described the terrain and periodically excused himself to make position reports to other aircraft, and then come back to us without missing a beat. This man really cared about our enjoyment of the tour, and also, our understanding of what what we were seeing. This operation's helicopters look very sharp and ready for the job. For my wife and I, I can say that the quality of the operation and equipment really was 1st class. There were no loose nuts, no seatbelts that didnt work, no MEL stickers, and add to that a 1st class safety briefing (video)before boarding the helicopter. 5 stars. Adhering to the minimum was not the case. When we finished the tour the ground support people were very interested in our well being. We all know how unusual this is to the normal airline customer.
