This awesome tour is offered exclusively by the Pacific Whale Foundation, a Hawaii non-profit organization, which performs year-round research and directs all profits towards the preservation of Hawaii's marine life. This combo tour features the best of both snorkeling worlds: Molokini, with its incredible visibility of up to 150 feet and Lanai, famous for some of the most pristine diving and snorkeling sites and home of the Hawaiian bottlenose and spinner dolphins. This will be a Maui day you will always remember!
Your tour will meet at the Pacific Whale Foundation's store located at the Maalaea Harbor Shops located next to the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, where you'll be able to park your car free of charge.
After checking in, you'll follow your Marine Naturalist to board a sleek and fast double-deck catamaran for your adventure. Once aboard, you'll meet a very friendly and knowledgeable crew who will serve you a delicious island style continental breakfast. While enjoying your meal, keep your eyes open as the Maalaea Bay is the year-round home for Hawaiian sea turtles and a favorite spot for humpback whales and their new-born calves when in season.
You'll enjoy a comfortable ride as you cruise the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. While on your way, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a snorkeling class which is perfect for beginners, non-swimmers, or those who just want to brush up on their snorkeling techniques. The crew will also distribute their top-of-the-line snorkeling equipment, flotation devices, or anything else you may need. Optical masks are also available at no extra cost by request. Once in Molokini, you'll experience one of the best views of Hawaii's underwater habitats.
Afterwards, you'll head to your second snorkeling site, Lanai, which is the home of hundreds of dolphins! There you'll get another opportunity to snorkel and explore the beautiful waters of Lana'i. If you're lucky, the dolphins may even swim right by you as you snorkel! While at Lana'i, you'll enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch and once you're done in the water, start ordering your favorite drink. Adult admission includes up to 3 alcoholic beverages and you can definitely enjoy those on your way back to Maui while the kids get to participate in games and crafts led by one of your excursion's Marine Naturalists. They will return home as whale & dolphin experts!
