The Humpback whales are Maui's most famous yearly visitors and with Captain Steve's Rafting tours, you'll not only see these awesome creatures, you'll get there fast! Their Ocean Rafts are rigid hulled inflatables, originally designed for the Coast Guard's fleet for Search & Rescue missions, so they will deliver a fun, exciting, smooth and safe ride. They are powered by twin 200 horsepower computerized smokeless engines, which meet the new EPA standards. They are also U.S. Coast Guard certified for 24 passengers (Cane Fire), 20 passengers (Manta Raiv) and two seasoned crew. However, Captain Steve limits them to 20 passengers for Canfire and 16 passengers for the Manta Raiv passengers for more comfort.
Because the rafts are at least 50% shaded, you won't have to sacrifice comfort or even your skin in order to participate in a rafting cruise. Whether you are looking for comfort, a wild ride or even an extra wild one, there will be a perfect seat for you on the stern, bow or pontoon, also called the "wild dolphin seat", where you'd be closest to the water.
