Activity Details

Whether you're planning on visiting Haleakala Crater and would like to "squeeze in" another fun activity, or if you'd like to explore the beautiful Kula and Up country areas, Haleakala Zipline is the perfect way to add adventure to your day.

You'll be outfitted by your specially trained guides, with your own customized seat harness and equipment, before the start of your adventure. This is the perfect tour for the entire family, ages 8 and up.

All equipment used is tested to hold at least 5,000 lbs, and our ziplines have a breaking strength of over 26,000 lbs. Each group is led by two specially-trained guides who will share information about Hawaii's land and culture, while leading guests on this unforgettable adventure.

 
With several attractions located just a few minutes from the Zipline headquarters, you can combine some other fun and "off the grid" activities, such as the Maui Lavender Farm, Tedeschi Vineyards,the Ulupalakua Ranch, not to forget the majestic summit/crater of Mount Haleakala. We also suggest stopping for a delicious meal at the Kula Lodge Restaurant, before or after your tour.
Additional Information

Requirements:

  • All participants must weigh between 60-260 lbs. This helps the regulation of speed of each guest, and has nothing to do with the strength of the gear. Guests will be weighed on site.
  • Guests MUST be physically able to hike 1/2 mile at 4,200 feet of elevation over uneven terrain.
  • Guests with serious neck, back, or joint injuries or chronic heart problems should use their own discretion about their capabilities to safely participate in this activity.
  • Guests must not have been scuba diving within 24 hours of scheduled tour time.
  • All guests are required to sign a release and waiver of liability prior to taking the tour.
  • Guests must be 8 years or older (6 years and older for the Hiking Tour). All guests under 18 must have a responsible adult sign for them. Riders under 15 may only participate accompanied by an adult 18 or older. 
  • No pregnant guests.
  • Absolutely no smoking is allowed on tour.
  • Guests must wear hiking boots or athletic shoes (no open toes, no water shoes)
  • Long pants are recommended.
  • Guests need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their tour's departure time. Tours operate on a schedule and cannot wait for late guests.
  • It is recommended that guests not participate if they have had recent surgery or have any serious back or joint problems.
  • If a guest is booking on behalf of another person or group, it is their responsibility to inform each participant of these restrictions
  • Transportation from Kihei-Wailea (South Maui) can be arranged for up to 13 participants for $250.00. Please call us at 808-214-1013 for more information.
Weather Conditions:

On very rare occasions Skyline Eco-Adventures may need to close the course due to high winds or heavy rain. If this is the case we will attempt to notify guests, and will either reschedule the tour or provide a refund of the tour price. If weather conditions appear to be bad please call to check if we are running tours, as weather in other areas of the island is often very different than the weather at the tour location, way up on the mountain. Never assume that a tour is cancelled. It should be emphasized to guests that tours operate in almost all weather conditions. However, it is also very important to obtain accurate contact information in order to get in touch with guests, if necessary. We will make every effort to contact guests as soon as possible in the event of a tour cancellation.
