Experience Maui’s evening beauty aboard the Maʻalaea Sunset Sail, a relaxing 2-hour cruise aboard Trilogy’s elegant sailing catamaran departing from Maʻalaea Harbor. As the sun dips behind the West Maui Mountains, enjoy carefully prepared hot and cold pupu appetizers, a seasonal dessert, and complimentary reef-safe sunscreen. Soft drinks, juices, filtered water - and, for guests 21+, a premium open bar featuring local Maui beers, signature cocktails such as the Lanaʻi Tai and Molokaʻi Mule - are served throughout the journey .

 

Friendly, knowledgeable crew share insights about Maui’s marine life and sunset lore. During whale season (December through April), you may spot humpback whales breaching in the ʻAuʻau Channel . The vessel offers comfortable seating and panoramic ocean views - ideal for families, couples, or small groups looking for a serene yet unforgettable evening at sea. Cruise ends back at Maʻalaea Harbor under twilight skies, leaving guests with perfect photos and lasting memories.

WHAT TO BRING:

We recommend you bring your camera and/or a light jacket or sweatshirt. You are to wear a face covering while the boat is in the harbor and when going into the cabin area. While you are seated, you can take it off or continue to leave it on.

Guest dine at personal two-top tables seated 6 feet from other couples/groups, outside.

• Meeting location: Maʻalaea Harbor, Slip 99 (across from Maʻalaea General Store), Wailuku, HI 96793 

• Parking: Available at Maʻalaea Harbor (~$0.50–$1/hour) 

• Boarding: Dockside, low‑impact boarding

• Capacity: Approximately 36–49 guests per departure depending on vessel 

• Note: Not ideal for guests requiring wheelchair access; no live entertainment onboard, but music and commentary may be provided.
